The COVID-19 virus continues to spread, and the World Health Organization has declared the disease a pandemic. As on 26th March 2020, over 3 billion people all over the world are in lockdowns.

It is time we take the lockdown seriously and save our country and our people from both a healthcare and economic crisis that is looming over us. Remember, there is no point in breaking protocol to party and socialize, when the difference can mean life or death.

To help you during this time, we have collated a list of information which you might find useful.

What the situation in India is:

  • A nationwide lockdown has been imposed until April 14, 2020.
  • People are strictly advised to not leave their homes, except for procuring essentials.
  • The Central and the State governments are working together to ensure an uninterrupted supply of essential goods.
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi has requested to avoid panic buying and hoarding.
  • It is paramount that we follow the 21 day lockdown strictly to halt the spread of COVID-19.
  • We currently cannot afford to let the virus spread, since our healthcare system is not equipped to handle an epidemic of that size.

Do’s and Don’ts

Do’s & Don’ts

  • 1

Maintain the highest standards of hygiene.

  • 2

Contact a healthcare professional as soon as you notice any symptoms of flu.

  • 3

Strictly follow quarantine protocols if you have travelled in the last 3 months.

  • 4

Place yourself in quarantine if you come in contact with anyone with a history of travel.

  • 5

If you notice someone who is breaking protocol, alert the local authorities immediately.

  • 6

Let parcels, mail, and other items sit undisturbed for at least 24 hours. This will ensure any virus that may be on the items are inactive before you touch them.

  • 7

Go out only to buy essentials, try ordering online where possible. Limit shopping trips to one or two a week.

  • 8

When you do go out, make sure to maintain at least 6 feet from everyone around you. Make sure to completely disinfect thoroughly as soon as you return.

Maintain a positive mindset. Stick to a schedule. Pick up a new hobby or skill.
