The COVID-19 virus continues to spread, and the World Health Organization has declared the disease a pandemic. As on 26th March 2020, over 3 billion people all over the world are in lockdowns.
It is time we take the lockdown seriously and save our country and our people from both a healthcare and economic crisis that is looming over us. Remember, there is no point in breaking protocol to party and socialize, when the difference can mean life or death.
To help you during this time, we have collated a list of information which you might find useful.
Maintain the highest standards of hygiene.
Contact a healthcare professional as soon as you notice any symptoms of flu.
Strictly follow quarantine protocols if you have travelled in the last 3 months.
Place yourself in quarantine if you come in contact with anyone with a history of travel.
If you notice someone who is breaking protocol, alert the local authorities immediately.
Let parcels, mail, and other items sit undisturbed for at least 24 hours. This will ensure any virus that may be on the items are inactive before you touch them.
Go out only to buy essentials, try ordering online where possible. Limit shopping trips to one or two a week.
When you do go out, make sure to maintain at least 6 feet from everyone around you. Make sure to completely disinfect thoroughly as soon as you return.
Maintain a positive mindset. Stick to a schedule. Pick up a new hobby or skill.
Drink plenty of water, and keep yourself hydrated.
Don’t plan social activities with friends and family.
Don’t panic buy and hoard resources.
Don’t enter crowded areas, if you come across one.
Don’t break social distancing norms.
Don’t travel, especially to your native place. It is much harder to treat the patients who live in an area with poor healthcare systems.
Don’t delay in consulting a physician in case you do experience any symptoms.
Don’t contact family members when placed under quarantine.
Don't encourage people who are ill to go out.
Don’t go to places where there are old or sick people, since the chances of them surviving if they catch the virus is low.
Don’t think Corona won’t affect you, even if you break protocol.
